How to Get Rid of Fear for Good!

Blogging is kind of terrifying.

Yup, I said it. I said what we’ve all been thinking about. As I’m typing this, my palms are a little sweaty and my heart is beating faster than Nick Canon drumming in the last few seconds of the Fighting for the Field Scene in Drumline! It’s that scary… But on a more serious note, you know that feeling of wanting to do something for the longest time, but for some reason every time you think of getting started you get overwhelmed with fear? Well a lot of us feel that way. Believe it or not, I’ve felt that way especially when it came to starting this blog journey.

If you haven’t already, take a little stroll over to my About Me page *shameless plug* and you’ll learn more about the bigger purpose behind all of this. I’m a firm believer of going with your gut. For years, and honestly I mean for years, I’ve been passionate about helping others achieve their goals. I spend quality time on the phone with individuals who I call my accountability partners and we carry conversations for what seems like hours. We talk about everything from that Turkey Bacon Sandwich with mustard and a little mayo on the side we ate for lunch to how we want to be out here living our best life like Cardi B.

Now let’s take a step back, imagine me doing all of this talking and not taking my own advice? Bizarre right? It’s so easy to get trapped in the mindset of

“Well if everyone is doing it, then why should I?”

I could have taken the easy route by saying that blogging is a saturated market. It sounds just about right in retrospect, but there is something about me and even you reading this that makes us different. Let me give you the number 1 reason why you should rid your mind of that fear and start living your dreams today:

There is only one you.

I want you to say this next line with me. Hi my name is *insert name here!* No matter how many people have the same name as you or variations in spellings of your name, there is only one you. When I say that, I’m talking about everything down to your behavior, characteristics, personality. There will never be another person just like you so why compare yourself to others?

You are so unique and you have something great to offer to people.

Whether that be starting that YouTube Channel, clothing line, book club or blogging just like me; just START. Actually you should have started yesterday! Don’t let your fears hold you back and stop thinking about what others will say or think. This blog post has been in the making for quite a while and I’m so happy that I could share this moment with you. Stay tuned for what’s in store!

  12. Amazing! This inspired me so much. Everytime I launch my blog I find myself tackled by the spirit of fear, doubt and worry. All of which are not of God. If we truly trust in God we should never be afraid. The hard part is starting, you’ve done that. The best is yet to come. Thank you for sharing your transparency. I am so proud of you!
